A charity fundraiser to benefit our sister Charity, North Shore Animal League America which
was held at the Algonquin Hotel Round Table Restaurant, a landmark establishment in
the heart of New York City. They have a resident cat named Matilda and they celebrated
her birthday with a party to benefit North Shore Animal League America.
The North Shore Animal League America mobile adoption unit was on hand conducting kitten and cat adoptions while the Algonquin Hotel hosted a cat fashion show and a birthday reception with live entertainment for invited guests and hotel patrons.
In addition, over 150 people attended this special invite only event and we had
two of our teen celebrities Josh Flitter (starred in recent movies Nancy Drew,
Licensed To Wed) and Brandon Hannan (played the role of Vito Jr. in the
Sopranos) participate in the cat fashion show featuring clothing by Meow Wear.
Also, both Josh and Brandon autographed North Shore Animal League America rescue
bracelets that were given to adopters and attendees. The guest of honor,
Matilda the Algonquin Hotel resident cat donated all of her birthday gifts and
proceeds from the event to North Shore Animal League America.
