Adoptathon UK

During the last few years the event has grown and we have had two "tours for life", the last North Shore Animal League International's UK Tour for Life travelled the length of the country, stopping off en-route to help co-host events with the Scottish SPCA, Dogs Trust Darlington, Birmingham Dogs Home (at Sunnyside Kennels), at the London Palladium with the cast and crew of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and finished for the Adoptation weekend at Gables Farm Dogs and Cats Home in Plymouth.

Sponsored by Purina, the Tour for Life (which ran simultaneously across the United States) saw shelters opening their doors to the public and giving them the chance enjoy a fun day out celebrating the work of each individual charity - and hopefully encourage them to consider giving an animal a new home. With help from Annette Crosbie who officially launched the Tour in Glasgow, to the cast, crew and the dogs of the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang cast, to the skills of a skateboarding dog these events were well attended, much enjoyed and highlighted the work being done all around the country to help homeless and abandoned pets.
