Adoptathon 2008

The Adoptathon is a unique opportunity to gain national and local awareness for your shelter and re-homing centre, increasing your number of adoptions, gaining new volunteers, fundraising and educating the general public. There is no entry fee to take part in Pet Adoptathon - it is completely free.

Here is something new for this year - we are entering all participating shelters into a random drawing for a $5,000 (or equivalent in your own currency) GRAND PRIZE.

To enter, shelters must report the number of animals adopted during Pet Adoptathon 2008 within TEN days after the event.

What is the How to guide?

To assist you in planning the event, no matter the size of your shelter or level of involvement, we have put together a Pet Adoptathon Event Guide with helpful ideas on ways to promote the event at your organisation. This is reworked each year and contains many ideas and tips from a vast number of organisations that have taken part in the past.

As this guide is intended for use by you in a number of different countries, some items may not apply to just your circumstances. Please adapt the information to fit your needs.
